The only option for splitting rock is a hydraulic wedge for bigger cracks.
Yes this one agrees with pneumatic tools are better.

But there is another option...

Dexpan. It's usefull when explosives cannot be applied to breaking large pieces down into managable sizes for earth moving/material handling equipment. Could be used for smaller jobs too, but you'd need to check the limitations towards your application. Your holes will need to be larger than if using wedges and feathers, but once drilled the hard work is pretty much done. Just pour and wait.
