Can't say what it is, but the question on my mind is...have you
crushed and panned any of it yet?

I have crushed some and alot of mica

I thought maybe laterite in place with wind weathering, the inside light color was cavernous with a decent pocket that ran18-24" i thought at first we might get an aluminum gem of some sort because there's lots of weathered mica coming from these contacts/pockets? But i haven't scratched any further..

Above this location is a large hydrothermal vein thats extrusive, theres alot of metamorphic rock down lower, i also noticed a rose granite extrusion off the other side of the ridge with similar oxidation contacts a few feet out from dyke but lacking the mica

this is what was underneath the first pictures at the top. Theres several quartz stringers

pulling some more of the stained material out i see some more of that black running in the host gneiss?
