I've been around Arizona, where you can see most of the surface rocks. What states have good Gold ore deposits, but are unable to see it because of weeds, grass and trees?

I've always wondered about Oregon. Isn't it a lot greener, and hiding big Gold just under the surface?, compared to Az most exposed.

Probably lots of states. They pay big bucks to hire geologists, sample rocks from the mountains, perform seismic studies and do core drilling where they think it's promising. They even take plant samples now and have them assayed, as some types of vegetation are known to concentrate minerals and can be a marker for a big deposit to look for,

I was wondering if one of them bomb sniffing rats might work in this certain situations.
