Partnering or Mavericking
Hello
If I may take a few minutes of your time and consideration? Being unemployed from construction I was looking to get into gold mining by working for someone. I figure not asking for a job but rather partnering up with others. Or is this unheard of? Should you just go out by yourself?
Based on what I know the housing will not come back for 3-5 years but gold will keep moving up. There is also thou a real desire and passion to do gold mining not becausce it's the latest money maker.
Evel Knievel
P.S. They say more gold has been mined from the minds of men then all the earth. Maybe I should just jump the Grand Canyon charge addmission sell Tshirts and make a movie.

You see...that what this site is all about...
You made a position and asked for advice...and when someone gives you good advice, you immediately went on the defensive...
Kinda childish like a schoolyard bully...
Obviously, you'r not off to a good start.
My advice is to tread softly and watch out or someone's going to pull your little panties down and paddle your little behind

EK,
When an old , experienced "hardrock" gives the advice,
I have a tendency to say thanks,
and move on.
Not get pissy and threaten.
Really not the best foot to put forward.

Re: Partnering or Mavericking
Evel, you may want to read all you can on your chosen subject, get into a gold area where it occurs and take it from there.I'm sure there are individuals working there own hard rock diggings, but how many?I belong to about 12 golds forums and the aren't more than a handful of fellows who post about their hard rock stuff, here,or in Australia.Someonemay take you under their wing, but where is that wing to be found.29 prospector who posts on Az. gold forums knows his hrad rock stuff. I'm just a coyote hole guy.........Dave

I think his Momma caught him playing with the grownup's toys...Rediapered his freshpaddled butt and put him back in his crib without his tittie bottle.
Imagine how long he would have lasted in the heyday of Climax and Leadville.Oil drilling probably isn't an option either.

Re: Partnering or Mavericking
Jim,
I can't begin to remember how many young "go getters" who knew it all were run off of a jobsite.
I have seen it happen. they aren't just told to leave, they are escorted off the property and told not to come back . PERIOD.
I didn't just happen in the "hey day" It still happens today.
Guys like that on these kind of jobs get people Killed.
It's not bad manners, it's just good sense.
