Who has a WATER detector they DO NOT like???

Not to hijack another post. But I enjoyed reading all the dislikes about land machines. I am looking for a water md. and thought I would ask for some input as to the dislikes.
What are your experiences as to hitting missed targets or what did you miss something and your partner picked it up with a different md.
Thank you in advance for any input.

Our team of 2 was assembled in 1976 and we are still swinging and digging together. I cannot go if she cannot ride shotgun. Now we just have to wait for the grandkids to get big enough to join us.

The tiger shark from tesoros for salt water is very noisy
The old infinium ls in the edge of the sea is very erratic and noisy
Excalibur in black sand only works whit minimun sensibility
the new headhunter pi has very bad seals, never dive whit it
beach hunter di from whites is not than good like excalibur
The old aquasound is hard for tunning in medium mineralized sand

Re: Who has a WATER detector they DO NOT like???

For me it is the Surf PI Pro and Surfmaster. Both detectors work ok after a fashion but tend to leak even with the new Orange o rings in the newer ones. Unless you order these detectors with the weighted coils you will be forever forcing them down to the bottom of the water column because the coils float. You need to add a weighted sand filled sock to the shaft for help in keeping it down. Other detectors don't have this problem. If you are not going in the water, this is no problem. I must mention that the White's Beach Hunter ID 300's coil floats even worse.
