I would like a detector for water and wet sand hunting. I would not use it in salt water except for wet sand. But also for fresh water lakes and shallow river or creek beds. Obviously the HHunter you can dive with, and it operates on 2.4kh while the AT pro is 15kh. From what info I can gather the HH despite the lower frequency can hit most conductive targets fairly deep. My question is has anyone used both, or have knowledge of what major differences in operation. Ihave done some research and know that the AT pro is not good for salt water, not sure about wet sand. Any help would be appreciated.

After owning both I would opt for the ATP. The detector pro is way overpriced IMO but I bought it in new condition for less than retail.
The HH was ok in freshwater but I got almost no depth in wet salt sand. It was a pleasure to dive with because it is so compact, but for wading or up to chest deep I would rather have the AT.

AT Pro would be a good choice except for being very chatty in wet salt water sand.

I have only owned an ATP and I loved it!

Now I own and run a CTX 3030 - but the curve I am finding extreme compared to what I had become used to on my ATP. Best of luck!
