Interesting! My old man swings a DFX. Never hunted with him yet while he used it but man that duration of the signal over a coin is an eternity! Wonder if theres a recovery type of setting to tighten up those reports.

Excellent video. I think your observations are perfectly fair and accurate - and I am someone who prefers Whites machines. I've never ran a DFX, but the notable difference between it and the Anfibo didn't surprise me. I do wonder how the MXS/MX7/MXT All Pro would fare against the Anfibo. I suspect the results would be quite a bit closer but the Anfibo would win out in the end.

I don't own an Anfibo, but I do have the Multi Kruzer (and a MX Sport). I've never tested them out side by side, but the Kruzer seems to have faster recovery. Not sure which machine is deeper though, as both do pretty good in my soil. I think both machines are excellent and wouldn't be keen on selling either of them. There are things that I prefer on each machine, but I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other.

I've used Whites machines far more than I've used the Kruzer, so (for me anyway) I find it easier to operate the Whites machines (I'm familiar with them). The Kruzer isn't difficult, but I do have to give it a bit more thought when I'm using it.

A few thoughts regarding the Multi Kruzer and my other machines...

Kruzer vs Whites MX5 - Kruzer is deeper and has faster recovery. Not by a lot in either case. Both are light weight machines and easy to swing. I'm far more acquainted with the MX5 though (love the MX5). Kruzer is the more versatile machine. Both machines unmask well, but Kruzer probably wins that too.

Kruzer vs V3i - Kruzer is significantly faster (recovery) with the way my V3i is set up. I can make the V3i quite a bit faster (recovery) but I doubt it could match the Kruzer. Depth probably goes to the Kruzer, but there isn't a lot of difference there. Kruzer is lighter in weight and waterproof. V3i easily wins with the screen and target information. For me it is difficult to compare the two because they hunt different.

Kruzer vs Beach Hunter 300 - Kruzer wins on weight, recovery, and versatility. Depth seems close to being equal, but the BH has a much larger coil. I probably would not have bought the BH if I had already owned the Kruzer. I haven't used the BH much at all - so I'm still not very familiar with it. My understanding is that the BH 300 is a waterproof DFX (I could be wrong about that). The BH is difficult to compare to the Kruzer - one is a generalist that can be used in salt water and the other is a salt water specialist that can be used for general duties. My thoughts here are based only on salt water hunting - the BH 300 is too heavy (and awkward) for me to use it for hunting on land.

Kruzer vs Tesoro Compadre - Compadre is lighter and probably as fast with recovery. Compadre has a fun-factor to it that just can't be matched. Kruzer wins on all other measurements.

Kruzer vs Tek Europro - EP is lighter. Almost as fast (recovery). Kruzer wins on every other measurement. I haven't used the EP much at all - it's my wife's machine. I included it only because I have used the EP.

I typically hunt for coins - specifically silver coins - and usually in fairly heavy trash. I'm a slow and methodical hunter, so the slower recovery speed (V3i specifically) suits my style quite well. I do find that the V3i unmasks quite well with a slow swing speed.

Of the four higher priced machines I own (V3i, Kruzer, MX Sport, MX5) the least capable is likely the MX5 - but it is my favorite machine out of the bunch (V3i is a close 2nd). I can't really explain why - but it's kind of like an old hunting dog that I know and trust.

Thanks for posting your videos. I enjoy them and learn from them.
