CD, I've owned and used Excal 2s for years but ever since the EQX came out, the Excal has been in virtual retirement. Why? Processing speed and sensitivity on small targets goes to the EQX...hands down. The only reason/time I would now take the Excal over the EQX would be due to any concerns I may have of the EQX flooding. I don't deep water hunt any more but if I did, the Excal would be the machine because of that depth restriction on the EQX.

If you're hunting in 5 foot or less, I would grab the EQX every time....but that's just me and the view from my foxhole.

Soldier on....
