In the 70's I had a term paper in college for Criminal Justice class. I chose to compare marijuana to booze. By far booze does more damage to individuals than marijuana. Two major studies showed this. First was the India Hemp Drug Commission study by Britain in India. The conclusion was do not force people off marijuana on to booze
Some years later, Mayor La Guardia also asked a group of scientists to evaluate the use of pot among immigrants in NYC, They came to the same conclusion.
In the 70's Consumers Report had a major article on it and said the same thing.
When I started research for the paper I found no data at all just pious claims pot turned people into killers, etc etra. Same old pious nonsense, but all data said better to choose pot than booze.
Now, more of the same. We had a poster on this thread who said the pot today is different. Hahahahahaha. More gibberish but no data to prove it.
Full disclosure. I use no drugs, no pot, and am an alcohol teetotaler.
