This has been discussed on numerous threads. HTTPS (secure connections) are used when handling banking, social security numbers, etc. - sensitive data. Nothing comes free - you have to pay for a server certificate. Since TN isn't handling sensitive data - it is simply an added expense that really isn't necessary. For years most sites weren't using secure connections - ya just didn't know it. So - nuttn' to worry about.

This has been addressed on a couple thread, We are not transmitting financial data. Admins IT do not feel it is necessary.
