Hello Everyone! We have been lurking on this sight for some time now and love reading AND looking at everyones finds.
We are from Minnesota and use Tesoro Tiger Sharks. Usually we have a competition between the two of us on our outings of who can find the BEST "find". Mike almost always wins! He adjusted the settings on our metal detectors and I'm wondering if he didn't set mine "off" just a bit.
He was definatly the winner the day he found this! It is a '73 class ring. 10k gold. He found it in Sept. and it took us about two weeks to find the owner. He emailed us after he got the ring and was very thankful for us returning it...(as most of us would be). He also said he would send a picture of him with the ring. (haven't got it yet, but will post when we do.) He knew exactly where we found the ring as he lost it while tossing a football to a friend in the lake 35 years ago, soon after he got it. It came out of the lake just as it looks in pics. Just a bit of tarnish that would clean up easily. we didn't clean it because I didn't want to rub the initials off of the inside. Will try to post pics of Mike and ring now.....
