Rewarding Craig's list lead

I saw an ad in the lost and found section on Craig's list Saturday night. It was from a wife pleading for someone to find her husband's wedding ring. He had lost it working in the grassy are between the road and the sidewalk. She gave a pretty good description of where it was lost in the ad. So, I emailed her back trying to get as precise a location as possible. On Sunday, the husband responded with all the details. Monday was my hunting day. The area where the ring was lost was about an hour away. I saw my daughter off to the school bus and I headed straight there.

I found the location easily enough and I started swinging. Now I would like to say that I found the ring on the first swing. However, that's not how it happened. It was more like the next to last swing. I had hunted for around an hour, trying to be as thorough as possible. I had picked up a surprising amount of coins. I was working my way towards my starting point when I got a signal. There under the coil sitting in the grass was the ring ! So I went to the car, put the gear away and sent a picture message of the ring to my wife. All the excitement made me pretty hungry, so I went to lunch. After lunch, I called the guy's wife and told her I found the ring. She met me and I returned her husband's ring. She was just a little happy to get the ring back. ;D Not as happy as I was to get the reward.

I made a stop on the way home and hunted an older baseball field. I didn't find much. 3 pennies and 1 quarter and bunches of pulltabs.

The ring

you did good. congrats on the find. It's the bestest time of the year to do something like that, not like any time of the year isn't, but you know what I mean.

You Da Man.

It was a thrill finding it. They're happy, I'm happy.

The baseball field hunt sounds like the 1928 farm's bottom pasture that I hunted with JuJu. But anyways, Nice job on returning the ring!!!
