Found 2 Gift Cards in Tot Lot

I went to an local tot lot Saturday morning and I found an small zipper pouch with 1 gift card to a local mall, 1 prepaid Visa debit card with no name printed on it. All it has was Thank You (100 dollars) stamped on it. So when I got home, I got to the card website and found that it still had an $100.00 in the account. So I decide to call Customer service, and the young man in customer service told me that I should feel lucky and spend the money. but I was brought up that it wasn't my money, so I decide to call the school this morning and I reported that I found the pouch and the school office told me to come by the school this week to drop off the pouch and credit cards. I don't want a pat on the back, I just feel better what I'm doing. I hope if I lost anything like that maybe the person finding my stuff will do the same thing. Thanks...

Way to go. You did the right thing. My Grandaughter left her purse in a movie theather with a Ten dollar gift card in it, and no one was honest enough to return it. She also had an ID in it. Proud to see you at least tried.

I would hold onto the cards and have the school state that they were reported lost by so-and-so...then deliver.

Give the school 90 days to advertize and identify the cards and amounts...don't provide any info regarding the cards or amounts...

My guess schools have things in lost & Found
from the Beginning of time.
They simply put it there & Think
everyone knows to check with them
Even if they don't go to school there

Who knows maybe a Parent lost them
while letting her Pre School Kid play in the Tot lot.
But dosn't know where they lost them.

I got on the website for the Visa debit card and they shown that the card is now (inactive). So I called customer service and they said that the owner will have to call and get it activation on the phone. They said that they will an few personal questions to see if the answers will match on their records. I think I will put an ad in the paper first to see if I will find the owners. Everbody has said that the schools doesn't give 2 hoots about it.
