Back to my childhood swimming lake
Took today off work to recover from the kid rock cheryl crow concert last night in Hershey. Finally have time to post two recoveries found and returned to owners. First is a 1969 class ring from Hanover High School, Hanover, PA. I was able to trace its owner down through the initials found in the ring and the internet. Beverly A Alwine was one happy 60 year old when i contacted her and threw some interrogating questions her way. I didn't have to tell her i had her ring. She all at once SCREAMED at me, " YOU HAVE MY RING !!! ". Through our conversation i learned she had her ring since 10th grade. She told me she graduated on a Thursday and lost the ring the following Sunday, in June 1969. This ring was in the lake pebbles for 42 years. We arranged a meeting at a restaurant parking lot. There she informed me that after i called, she called her 81 year old mother and asked her if she remembered her losing her ring. " Yes " was her mothers reply, in which she proceeded to tell me that she can never remember the good things but she remembered that ! lol 3 cheers for all MOMS.
The bracelet photos are also a find from the same lake. I work at the same company this man retired from and his son works here also. I gave the bracelet to the son to give to him but didn't hear back from him yet. He works shift work and when he gets around back to day work i will get the details. Although the son did inform me that his dad is now 81 years old and quit school at the age of 16 to join the service. Interested to hear when this may have been lost.
This lake has been killer for me, i am up to 22 rings found here, a few gold, lots of silver, and a few junk.

Great job on the tracing of your find......Great job for the finder! I have found 7 rings this year, three are silver, the rest junk but nothing that I can trace to the losers..........maybe some day. That would make me feel good as well. Again.... nice job!

Re: Back to my childhood swimming lake
Thank you folks. Gave me a thrill to return these. My wife took a video of the ring return. Thing is she used my phone and somehow i need to get a program to convert the .gp3 that my phone takes video in to mp4 i guess. I tried uploading the video, but til i can convert it i guess its a no go. Once again, thanks. Todd
