After returning the last class ring i found at this lake a friend of mine was telling his aunt about it. This lake was a private lake that many of our parents had swam in as kids. His aunt informed him that she had lost her class ring there also. Her family is also a friend of my parents. He gave her my cell number and she called me and asked if i had found any others. Then described hers to me, 1960, with her initials and informed me to near where she lost hers. I had searched several times with my excal at the lake prior to this. I have over 30 rings from here now. Decided to take the etrac the last two weekends and see if I could get some better readings between iron. I focused in the area of the beach she had mentioned. Sunday i found her ring, as described, initials inside of band. Tonight was the return. She works Thursdays at a church in town. And i payed a surprise visit. Thrilled, she gave me a big hug and thanked me graciously. Told a story about her once a month breakfast with some classmates and the emotions just poured out through her smiles. Was a treat. My other finds in those two sundays include a 14 k ladies ring with what appears a real diamond. All be it very tiny, a gold filled ring and junk ring. Silver pendant. Two silver quarters, two mercs, two rosies, a war nickel and a 1937 buffalo. Seven wheats, the clad, and the junk pictured.

Oh yea, this high school is also my alma mater, as well as my parents. Forgot also, she told me she lost this in 1960, 51 years in the pebbles at the lake.

It's Honorable Mention material. How can you possibly miss with a recovery like that? Good karma on you.

I just love to read stories like this with pictures of the
expressions on the face of the owners after the return.
Well done and hope you can locate the other rings for
the friends that lost them. HH Gold Nuggets :hello:
