Did you ever want to find something so you could get it back into the hands of someone who knew who it originally belonged to?
Those were my thoughts/feelings after reading this enormously entertaining, delightful, wonderful human interest story.
My wondering mind asks: Did it ever come out how the stick was lost? Was a story ever put into the local newspaper, telling about what we just heard? Where were the news reporters on this one?
Many many people all did the good, right thing, and made this story happen. Cmon, someone.....tell me another story.

Good grief! I read this thread again for the first time in more than 7 years and I still had to wipe tears from my eyes several times to be able to see the screen once I got to the Historical Meeting part. So much emotion. So much history. I hope that stick outlasts everyone of us.

Excellent story! I hope he had someone to inherit his stick as well as all his other stuff. I don't think the man threw anything away which makes for good history. The man bordered on genius in his creations.
