Found $208.00 today
Well just went to walmart and got a cake for her birthday and noticed as I was driving to walmart on a rural back road I thought I saw a wallet. Well I kept on going cause my wife was next to me hounding me so we went to walmart and on way back home it was still there. I picked it up and inside was $208.00 in cash, a debit card, social security card, and numerous other things. I went home and looked up name in phone book and saw none so I did some research on name from the sheriffs office and all I had to go on was he was a parolee. Long story short as I drove by I saw a small pickup sitting there with a woman inside and saw a man walking down hill towards me. I asked what his name was and lo and behold is was man who lost his wallet. He was so excited and shocked that all the money and everything was still there. I felt great after that. Now maybe one day someone will pay it back.

Karma baby!!! Don't expect it, just be excited that you got put on its list haha. Next wallet will have no i.d/social or any form of identification in it. The only stuff inside will be cash moolah money and it'll be ALL yours.
Btw, did you get any reward?
I returned one last year with $150 in it, the guy couldn't speak a lick on English but his son was there to translate. The guy was in tears and the young boy asked how much I wanted for a reward. I said "nada" to the hispanic gentlemen and he immediately started bawling even harder, pulled out a $100 from his wallet and literally shoved it in my shirt pocket and drove off.

You did the right thing. I am a trash man in a major city and i have found returned 4 purses last year. Normally when I find them they are stolen and the thieves take what they want and toss everything else in the trash. I always return them when possible. The latest one I simply mailed to the lady with a note explaining how i found it and low and behold several days later she mailed me back a huge thank you card with $100.00 in it ! You may very well be rewarded in the most unexpected ways.

great to here such a good story
if i see it fall from the person i notify the person
if I see it on the ground
it's mine
no-then worse than giving money that you found to the wrong person
by asking did you drop this even if they didn't they still say
yaa
I hate to discriminate but some times you have too!

Yea i remember him from when i worked at sheriffs office as being a parolee. He was reasonably shocked i returned it to him. And didn't call his parole officer for walking down highway drinking and acting stupid.
