What a great story. And even better that he was able to recall so distinctly the event around it. He probably will cherish this medal FAR more than if he'd retained it all those years. What a great thing you've done with $0.50 of silver!

Returning a lost item is one of the things that is high on my wish list. That would be even better than finding a gold ring.

Great job! The amount of info out there today makes our job of returning things so much easier. Can you imagine trying to do that 100 years ago?
