One of the rings I posted yesterday that I found in the water this summer was a ladies class ring from a local high school. I called the school office yesterday to give them the info on the ring as well as my contact info, and within 5 minutes they called back. They had located the ring owner, and even pulled her from class so she could talk with me on the phone, and we agreed to meet at the school today so I could return it. She told me it was lost at the beginning of the summer while playing volleyball out in the water, and figured she'd never see it again. She thought it was amazing that I was able to locate it with a metal detector. She thanked me countless times, and I had the school secretary snap the pic below showing how happy she was to get this precious item back, especially since she's a senior this year. It sure felt great to help her out, and hopefully this will be another small way to show our hobby in a positive light.
