First heavy snow of the year. Ring lost, found, and returned.
The young man on the left is a former co-worker of mine. He is a UPS Delivery Driver, and I am a retired driver. On the day of our first heavy snow, he was moving at the speed of light thru someones front yard, when he slipped and fell. He got up, brushed himself off, and when he got back to his truck he realized his wedding ring was missing. As this young man knew I enjoyed in the hobby of metal detecting, he called me when he arrived home that night. I had him meet me at the yard on a Saturday morning. He showed me the spot where he fell, and I started about 10 feet to the left of the spot. Within 10 minutes, I had the ring in my sand scoop. Luckily, it was a very powdery snow, and it was easy to sift. Another happy customer !! Happy New Year to all, and the best of luck hunting in 2018. Ron

Ah Ha! It pays to remember the "weird" guy that roams across corn fields digging up rusty garbage! Sweet return you were able to make for your old coworker. No better feeling than turning a frown into a joyous GRIN! I need to learn how to do this Honorable Mention thing some day! You deserve one.
