Civil War Eagle Plate!

Ok... this is from years ago.. but the best eyeballed find I have ever had was when I was hunting a freshy turned and disc'ed field. There was a large Civil War camp there and I had been waited for days to get into it.. while it rained and rained. I was working down the edge of a small hill close to where the plowing stopped and saw an eagle/breast plate sitting on top of a pile of dirt!! The rain had washed the dirt from a round in and it was just sitting there almost perfectly flat on top of a little 2" column of dirt!! It was a couple of feet in from on my coil when I saw it!! This was pre digitial cameras and I didn't have a film camera with me.. I had eye spotted bullets before but that was a first... and the last.. plate!!
