    Gold!

    I was helping a friend clean some trash out of her basement that the previous tenants left behind. They left a couple of nice tote containers.
    At the bottom of one I found a single gold earring. 14k, .4 gram, worth around $8 in gold as scrap. Better than a kick in the teeth...
