walking through a grass parking lot and noticed something shiny in the grass, got over to it and picked up $1.20 (mostly nickels?); before I got to the building I was heading to found another dime laying on the ground! Not bad for walking to a front door of a office building.

You never know what you will find. Last Spring in Northern Michigan, I was walking with my kids along the road. I saw a cell phone in the ditch and sent my son over to pick it up. The phone was no good but we did find about two bucks in change. It appeared to be the site of a roll over accident from that past winter. After the spring melt we were able to find the coins and a few other items. I guess you could call it a car spill.

PS Just yesterday I found a 1964 quarter in the basement of one of my rental properties it was on the floor near the dryer.

That's the first silver that I have eyeballed in about 4 years.
