First Silver of 2009

Met up with WaterColor and Kimsdad today at a tear down. All I got there was some clad and a 1920 wheat.
From there the 3 of us met up with Twistidd, Treasurefiend and Mikewaz.
I was skunked all morning but what a day everyone else had.
I was tired and left at 1:30
On the way home I decided to check out a park that I found on Google earth and the 1938 aerials.
Got out and decided to detect it.
10 minutes into the hunt I pulled a 1926 Merc, only 2 inches deep in a washed out area and about 3 feet from the curb.
It felt good to get  a silver coin. I hope for 99 more.

I did also manage a 3 Merry Widows top ( my first one ) in the woods

All I can say is CONGRATS to all you other guys on your FANTASTIC finds...
Fun day in all. Glad I was part of it.
