Well as you know Twistidd, MikeWaz & I went out to the woods today to look for some old coins, well Twistidd found himself a honey hole with all kinds of goodies. I couldn't beleave it, everytime he pulled out a coin - another one was in the hole and the best part is they are all old!!! Later we meetup with Watercolor, Kimsdad, & DP Bob out in the woods. The only older coin that I found was a 1934d Silver quarter but I'm not complaning as its only my 3rd hunt this year and its my 2nd silver so far!!!

Be sure to click the "HQ" tap on the bottom right of the video to watch in Higher Quality.

Kermit, wonderful 1934-D silver you found and GREAT video & pic's of an exceptional day
Can you imagine the epic you'd be filming if those woods weren't hunted out? :D

So, are you guys going there next week? ::)

Take care,

I just saw the videos for the first time. As exciting as it is to watch them, it was even more exhilarating digging them! I don't think I'll match that day soon, but you know, that's OK...occasional days like that one are what keep me going. Thanks for all the comments. Thanks to Kermit for filming it, and Mike for his help too.

Another great aspect of metal detecting is taking a nice drive out to new places, and meeting up with people. It can be quite a good time even if you are not finding much. Metal detecting is one of those hobbies that has a lot of "replay" value.

I was thinking we should all try to get out to a new spot some day soon, a city park or something.

That might be good advice for some of us Brett, but you're still hitting the goodies at your Pop's spot! Stick with it man, you're gonna pop gold out of there one of these days!
