Just when things were looking down with M D I get a big boost more pics

    Just a short post.
Things have been looking pretty down when it comes to metal detecting finds lately.
Left early to go ring some doorbells.
Saw a guy working on his lawn mower ( Had to see if he needed some help since I've been repairing them for over 20 years) so I walked up to him and chit chatted for a bit. Then asked about detecting. Have at it he says.
Here's the big boost I needed.
    I'll post more later.

It's a First for me.....I only wish it would have been silver......but it's a Treasure...

Here's a picture after I wire brushed it...
    It's a 1972 D Eisenhower Dollar.

The Tootsie toy V W Bug was a cool find. I guess the kid didn't like the original blue so he painted it red.
The big Die looks homemade , Wish I would have found the other one.

8 wheaties....I know silver is close then..

Wire brushed it, eh? You didn't fool around!

Glad you got some satisfaction, Bob!

I think that since you are overdue for silver, when it hits, it's going to hit in style!
God bless our veterans! Thank you for your sacrifices!

I was looking at that dollar thinking it was a half dollar, and while I would usually consider one of those a great find... for someone as accomplished as yourself I wasn't thinking you'd need one of those as a big boost. Then I realized it was a dollar! Awexome

I dug a 1980 SBA today... my second one for the year, and ever. Sounded just like a quarter.

Have you ever tried toothpaste brushing the coins? This worked great for me with a blackened Merc that looked like it was in a fire at one time. Now I'm toothpaste brushing a bunch of different stuff. Just make sure you can live with the results... it does do some stripping, but the good kind. Wait, is there a bad kind? Aww, forgetit.

Very cool, I'll bet that's a coin very few of us have ever found. I certainly haven't. I haven't even found a clad half dollar that I can recall.

Amazing how big those things are. That one probably ripped its way out the bottom of someone's pocket by weight alone!

It is amazing how big they are.. I think your right on ripping a hole in the pocket... Why wasn't there any silver in that pocket too. Dang....
I dug a huge plug.. The whites keep reading VDI 92 $ every swing... so I dug a big hole...

I've gotten three Ikes at one playground spread over a couple years. Hard to miss 'em!

Most of the Saca's I get come from the site of pinada executions in the park. I love weeks like this where multiple pinada executions are taking place at parks all over town! Dam pinadas, hang 'em high, but not so high they can't get whacked apart wildly and savagely.

Gotten multiple JA dollars already, last year. None this year yet. Carnie season should be good with all them small dollar configurations to get dropped. Did get a 1 Dinar the other day. Maybe I'll get a gyro with it.....

Cool dollar Bob I've never gotten a big one like that. . . just Sac's.

Last Sac I found was in SC and I thought it was a large cent at first. . . nope, just a corroded Sac.

Take care and find some silver

    LMFAO!

I was thinking something similar for all of the centavos I dig up and find at the coin counting machines... I wonder if I stopped at one of those taco carts... I'd probably need a sack full of them coins though.
