i decided to brave the heat and see what i could find in my back yard. i was able to dig up some clad, a small broken bottle top, a beat up matchbox car, and this shield that says lieutenant school safety patrol. too bad it didn't have a school name on it but i still thought it was neat.

Yeah, I was was thinking about that, too. I wonder if there was a civil service type test with a book study list and an interview before the Board of School Safety Patrol Commissioners, or if the Chief of the School Safety Patrol just had to like ya...

Either way, that's a GREAT FIND!!!
