Finally, I broke into the 1800's silver club

This morning, I was hunting a grove across the street from one Watercolor was hunting when DP Bob called. I have never heard him so excited before and he said that he found his .......! :o

He was out with Jon & Dan at their "spot". Jon was kind enough to invite us over to join them, so off we went. About an hour or so into it, I got this signal that was changing numbers depending on direction of swing. Here it turned out to be an 1892 Barber dime! ;D This is the tenth Barber dime I've dug since spring '08, and my first 1800's silver!

Thank you Jon and Dan for having me out! It was good to hunt with you guys again! You guys were still hard at it when I left, and I hope you hit it big again!!!

Welcome to the 1800's club!
Just be careful with those secret handshakes in public.

Check out the back of that dime - you can almost see ants crawling on the wheat stalks! Nice detail!
A toast! Here's to many more for you :coffee2:

Anytime Neil. Congrats again on your first 1800s silver! Glad you and Mark met up with us. A lot of first time finds went down today. Can't wait to see Bob's post. The noises he was making when he found his "Insert Bob's Find Here", I thought he was getting attacked by another raccoon! hehe :D

Wow! Here I am pluggin' away for Rosies, making a day out of trying to find one (lol), and you're one year away from seated on your first 1800's silver! Way to go! I've gotta find a place like that for something older...

Congrats. I know you'll be back!

Once again Congrats! I'm glad you guys came down to join us. I always like being there when someone finds their first....and today three of us found firsts for coins, and I found my first of a different find (I'll post it later, might be worth getting proffessionally cleaned).

I can't believe yo were one lousy year away from a seated. Next time!
