The Pirates got the silver, but I got the Jolly Roger

Had a great time hunting yesterday with Brett, LFS, Tman, McNickel, Goio and Etac007.
I'm planning on making this thing into a doorbell for Halloween.

    Also a bit of info.....

The first record of the skull-and-crossed-bones design being used by pirates is an entry in a log book held by the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Dated December 6th, 1687 it describes the flag's use by pirates not on a ship but on land.

"And we put down our white flag, and raised a red flag with a Skull head on it and two crossed bones (all in white and in the middle of the flag), and then we marched on."

Hey, pretty cool whatzit. If you do turn it into a doorbell plate... make sure you wire up the eyes with GLOW.

Congrats on that button! It looks awexome in person. Any idea how old?

Cool finds. The button appears to be WWII era.
