 Don't Drag Your Feet!
Last Two Hunts (10/17 and 10/24)
Lotta stuff found, so little time to post... it's actually taken me about 4 hours to get this posted (LONG STORY).
10/17
Found the 1903-O Barber Dime and 1904 Indian Head penny and two wheaties at a farm site. It was a short morning hunt, and I got the barber and IH right off the bat.
10/24
Went out for a local park hunt today and decided to stop somewhere along the way that looked interesting. Well it paid off bigtime! The sun was out and the digging was perfect! All signals that were something good were at least 5 inches deep or more, and most were not a DING DING type of signal, but they all pinpointed small like a coin. The wheaties were coming up everywhere... they are mostly 40's, one was 56d and one 29d and a 35. Two of them were 40-s. 20 wheaties total! The first silver I dug up was the ring, and it sounded so good once the hole was opened. What a rush to pull a silver ring. It was a little smashed, but I was able to bend it back straight for the most part. The first Merc 1929 came after I had 5 wheaties, and was right next to the 29 wheatie. Later I found the 37 buffalo nickel right next to those two holes. The second Merc came up on the third dime signal that was bringing up these tarp grommets and I just kept digging them up just in case. Good thing I did because that 43 merc is sweet! Right after I dug that Merc I got one final tarp grommet. Three grommets and one merc in a two foot square area. The last Merc was all by itself just waiting to be scanned and dug... it was a sweet tone. While on my quest to bag as many wheaties as I could before the sun went down, my last signal was the 1940 washington quarter. When I scanned over it, it sounded PERFECT! Just the best solid quarter signal and DEEP, at least 6-7" on the depth meter. When I saw that I just knew there was no way this was some junk metal, or some halo'd wheatie. All I had to do was dig it up, and then I headed for home.
It was one of the best hunts I've been on this year. Too bad my Dad couldn't have been out there with me.
Enjoy the pics.

Wow! Awexome wheatie and wilver collection Brett! And that ring! So gaudy, ssoooo garish. Man you gotta get that sucker resized and fitted and wear it to some group hunts! The '37 buff looks great too!
And now for something completely different, is the Brett lexicon, call it the Brexicon derived from junior's tot-speak? Must know the origin of wilver and awexome.

Now that's a nice mix of stuff!
Looks like you found a honey hole that may give up more goodies with further working.
Keep us posted!

Thanks guys, can't wait until the weather is nice enough to go back. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Just soap and water on that Indian. I've never had one that nice and that easy to clean. Wish they were all like that.

WOW! I can't believe how much your getting from that spot. And even more today?
Wish I could break away since it's only 5 mins from home, but just too much going on.
WTG Brett!
