look what popped out of the ground in southern Illinois & my car pics

Went out today to hunt a old ghost town. I got hurt at work and have been off work for 3 months and had to have surgery last monday.The doc said i could use my right arm but not my left. so i tied my shovel on a rope and off i went and look what i found!!!! It is a 8 reale standard cap & rays 183? Thanks for looking !!!

whoa dude you sound like me. ha ha. hope your arm is back to 100% soon. That is a cool coin. Years ago I dug about 1/4 of one that had been cut to make change.

I though I'd never dig a better coin than the '21 Morgan I got awhile back. But seeing this find has given me new inspiration. Digging one of those would probably give me a heart-attack,,,, but what a way to go!!

Congrats on sticking with the minefield of bullets and casings,,, most people wold have hightailed it out of there to cleaner ground.

Thanks litefire ,The old stuff is out their you just have to hunt where people give up on and sometimes it pays off but it does put a damper on your finds ,on the long run.
