For the past week or so, I've finally gotten around to finishing something
my wife has "suggested" that I built for the family room. . . a coffee table that
I can display some of the "treasures" that I've accumulated this past year.
Well, it's finally done. . . except for the plate glass top which should be here
by Christmas, if I'm lucky. So, now I can finally post what I've found during my
last several hunts since this monkey is now off my back :P.
Back-tracking to Lowbatts' outing a week ago, I did manage three Merc's, a pocket knife
and a gold charm necklace (the chain was 14K and the charm was enameled pot metal )
and a few days later at an old cellar hole, two IH's and another Merc.
I really hope to get out and find a few more silvers before the snow gets too deep.
Maybe this weekend?

Watercolor,
That is a really nice looking coffee table. A few years back my wife, yes she's the woodworker, built something like that for telegraph insulators that I had. Yours looks quite nice. What kind of wood did you use (Oak?). I am hating those words last hunts of the year though.
That is an awesome job.... I know at breakfast the other day you were describing it I knew it had to be a nice looking table....
That biscuit joiner worked great .....
A beautiful display.....Bad news..... More work....Your going to have to build some end tables to match...Cause I know you will be finding more awesome stuff in the future........
GOTTA LOVE THIS HOBBY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Happy Hunting from Des Plaines IL ( D P Bob )
Mark, take it from a guy that builds stuff like that, that is beautiful. you did a great job
If you don't mind, I'd like to use some of your design.
I think I'll build one similar to yours and donate it as a prize for the CTH III in May
Wow that looks great buddy!!! I especially like the red fet in the background (wonder where that idea came from)... All joking aside, man that is SWEEEEET, thanks for showing us!!!!
Thanks everyone for the comments on the table. . . I was glad
to put that one to bed. . . now I have to start on the wide-screen
stand
