May not be detecting for a while...

On the 25 of January I banged my knee on a metal skid holder at work. Had quite a bit of pain for about a half hour.
The knee got bend backwards a bit..
On the 28th the knee gave out on me at work.
Stayed home Fri. and saw the Dr. on Mon. xrays showed nothing but that doesn't mean a thing.
Going through therapy but I know the inside is torn.
Had it scoped 2 times before because it was torn then, the last time was 10 years ago...
This time I have the exact pain....
If it doesn't get 100% within the next month I'm telling the Dr. to just go into it and repair it again..Don't want an MRI just go in and visually see it...
I'm not waiting for months to go by and still go through the aggravation and pain.
    I know it's torn inside.
I'm walking better now but the pain is still bad.
So I don't see myself doing any detecting for the next couple months that's for sure...
Squatting down is out of the question for me....Walking a lot is out too.
I have a hard time at work now with it....
But I will be enjoying all your post and finds.....

Very sorry to hear that Bob.
I hope that you get wise and good medical treatment and have a good recovery. We'll look forward to you getting back! Who knows, with the way winters and springs have been going here, maybe you will be recuperated by the time things are finally thawed out and good. Will be praying for you. Get well soon.

So what, I'm supposed to shovel my own driveway now Bob? I know, I know, that's what the wife and kids are for but we were expecting you to pick up some of the slack around here. And I have surplus slack, ya know....

Geez everytime I turn around something comes up that takes away from me staring at the ceiling and picking at my belly button. Now keep that image in your mind awhile, and it'll be warm and you'll be salsa dancing before you know it.

    Get better soon!

That's a shame Bob. Maybe by the time it heals it'll just start getting nice out. I'd hate to see you twist it up out there, especially with the weather the way it is.
    Take care!

That IS a bummer. . . I was hoping it wasn't that serious.

It's probably better that this happened in winter rather than summer so
you'll have the time for some quality rehab. . . and won't be tempted to
hit any parks or tear-downs while you're out running errands .

    Get healthy

    Two months??!!!

Aw c'mon, Bob. In a few weeks you'll be strong enough to walk a bit and you can come out with us. Mark & I will take turns digging your targets for you. I promise not to wing any of your coins or to pull any switcharoos. If you're still hurting too much to walk, I've got a mover's dolly. I'll slap a board on it, you can lay down, I'll pull you around and you can dig my plugs!

Seriously, stay the course & get better so we can all get out together when the grass is green and the dirt is soft. I'm sorry you're hurting! We're all pulling for you!
God bless our veterans! Thank you for your sacrifices!

At least you picked a great time to be out for the count. Like me a year ago. Although, therapy sucks and needless to say, so does the pain. So get better already so we can detect that old cellar hole of yours as soon as the snow melts!

Well that's not good, but it will work out and this is a good time of year if it has to happen. My knees are about the only things I haven't screwed up yet. Hope to get a change to get out with you guys. I had my MRI 2 weeks ago (back) now I'm waiting for the cortisone (sp) shots hoping they'll do better that the last 2 ops.

    Anyhow, get better quick.

Sorry about your injury. Have you told doctor to do it now? That way maybe you can get out sooner.

Maybe you could write off your detector as part of your physical therapy!!!
