Got out with L4S yesterday. Wasn't finding much until we got to the spot he was prospecting the day before. At that point I started digging pocket spill after pocket spill of wheaties until I came upon one that produced a 1942 Merc! Called Jon over and told him there was still more in the hole. From the angle he was standing at he could see another silver. Pulled it out and it was a 1956 Roosie.

After searching around for another hour and half or so I came upon another pocket spill of wheaties. After pulling 4-5 wheaties, a key, and miniature toy gun charm, I was duly awarded with a 1958D Franklin Half! Total wheatie pull for the day was 14.

Hopefully there are many more days like this to come!

Great finds, Dan! And a crown for big silver!!!   :icon_king:

Old balding Ben sure is a homely coin, but I'd never turn him away! He's a beast of a beauty.

What did that little gun look like?

Big congrats Dan
That secret silver searching machine is working for you. I agree Ben is a little bit scrofulous in appearance, but big silver is never makes a poor appearance.

WTG on a great day! You sure don't see too many of those Ben's coming up.

And this is my second Ben. First one was last year and was my second silver ever. 1952D. I was very happy to see this one come out of the hole!

Nice coins Dan! I remember when you found your first Ben last year. I don't think it's all that common to find two of those in consecutive years, from what I hear they are the hardest halves to find.

Ah man another Bennie for ya. As Mark suggested, Barber halves come easier these days. You are in the zone.
