What luck.. expect a clad dime & get Gold

First of all, let me say congrats to everyone who has posted their fantastic finds over the last few weeks. I've read though them all, but between being busy at work, attending my daughters softball
games and nursing back to health one of our dogs that was run over by a car doing 40mph, I just haven't had the time to participate on the group, or for that matter detect much either.

I did stop at a local park yesterday to try some new settings on the DFX. Wasn't expecting to find
anything good, just wanted to pop some shallow clad. After about 7 quarters I got a nice dime signal
at 4". I figured what the heck and dug a plug. Much to my surprise there was this 14k chain along with the dime. Gotta love this hobby!

Hopefully in the days to come you can get out a little more. I am surprised that read only as a dime. Don't know much about the DFX, were you discriminating out low conductivity targets?

I always accept everything down to square nails and just mask out the larger iron. The signal I heard
was the dime shown above with the chain. The thin chain itself would have probably not even made a sputter, running straight 3kz. Just maybe it would have sounded like a Gnats fart running 15kz though..
