Wow!
Really good detail on that V nickel
all of those old coins are in great shape too...
Finds like those make the heat worth it.

Congratz!

Wow! What a sweet assortment of oldies Rich,  My first Seated was a '91 also..

Thought about giving you a shout to hook up yesterday, but thought it would be too hot for ya. Now I'm the one crying, as I spent 2 hours pounding an old park by me, and couldn't even dig a clad anything. That's how clean this place is.

That shell casing is huge! First thought was a flare gun round, but the biggest I know of is the 26mm
or 1.125"
Here's a pic of a couple white magnesium rounds of mine next to a dime. They burn at 4300 deg F
and they're perfectly legal in IL. as long as they are used in an emergency situation. Like some punks
throwing bottles at you to snag your equipment, Kermit ?? Yeah baby, make my day... :laughing7:

Big congrats! That seated looks like it is in great shape  Welcome to the club. Was Clad with you when you found that one? I still offer to bring my machete to that site you've got.

When I pulled that shell casing I said to Paul "Holy Sh-t". Why would something that big be here at this site, maybe someone brought it along from some where else. The heat was terrible I should have stop an hour earlier because my recovery was the rest of the afternoon before I felt better. Found the seated about an hour to 45 minutes before Paul got there. He was late leaving and traffic was horrible. I'm hunting here 3 to 4 times a week, some hunts bring in only slag or clad. HH DFW

Congratulations on a nice looking seated dime and that V Nickel is stellar looking also. Look forward to what else you find at that location.....could a seated quarter pop up next?
