Slim Pickens but a couple decent finds
Not this Slim Pickens
When out to a new forest preserve park that I researched and it's pretty old(close to 100 years)for a few hours. There was alot of trash but I managed to pull out and couple of wheats and a 1920 S merc. I also found this cool old lock that looks to be an old combination lock. I also found tons of bottle caps (why do they sound so good?).
A forest preserve cop stopped and got out of his car and started walking towards me and I couldn't help but think my hunt was over but he asked me what I found and seemed truly interested and told me that it's perfectly ok to detect there, just don't leave any craters. Pretty cool I thought because I've had other cook county forest preserve cops tell me I couldn't detect. I now have a good site that I don't have to look over my shoulder at. Thanks for reading.

You didn't try the run-away method when the officer showed up? Always works for me.
