Hunted in town yesterday after the rain and found 2.74 in clad and this piece.
The front says HENRY KUPPLER BELVIDERE ILL 1094 around the outer rim and on the inner circle it reads LIVERY. Doesn't stick to a magnet except for the crude iron rivot that holds the 2 discs together. Don't have a clue what it was used on or for, a rainy day research project. Thanks for looking DFW

Hey Rich, it says "Livery" on it. Perhaps an ad token for a local coachman-for-hire or a stable?

Check with the city directory from that year to be certain! City directories from years past are often in the historical section in the library on microfilm.

I was lucky enough to come upon three old city directories from this town, 1889, and two from 1910-11. Coolest thing about these old directories is they list all the parks that were in town at that time and where they were.

Cool find Rich

There's gotta be some horse shoes around there someplace, maybe even a couple of brass snaffle bits ;D
