Knee is getting better from the surgery. Thanks to all who have pm'ed or who have called me through this time. I really appreciate it.
I took the Etrac out for an hour a couple of days before the surgery man did it hurt so I called it quits after 10 hole dug. ( clad )
( 4 weeks later )
I went out Sunday for a couple hours and everything felt fine..
I hit a park that I have hunted many of times with many different machines.. I sure cleaned it out from all those years. Nothing found but some surface clad and 1 wheat penny about 3 inches deep.
Took a ride up to an area where I have found some good silver in the past. Weeds were a little tall and the skeeters were biting
and I didn't have any DEET with me. So I left after 15 minutes to go buy some spray..
I was in the store and this was crawling on my neck......
" A FIRST FOR ME "
That's all it took....Home I went
GOTTA LOVE THIS HOBBY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Happy Hunting from Des Plaines IL ( D P Bob )
Nasty little blood suckers. I've found a few hitching a ride on me this year (makes me re-think my woods hunting). They're worse than I've seen in years. Get that deet!

Re: " A FIRST for ME "
I think the increase in ticks is due to the increase of deer. There are simply too many deer and not enough predators. I hate ticks!
I hope you make a full recovery soon, Bob. Either way, you've gotta make it to my T-Net cookout, whenever that happens. Thanks again for the lawnmower. I used it again yesterday, works like a charm. I even taught my little neice and nephew how to use it and reminded them to be here once a week to do it for me
