Well I got out for a rare hunt (rare for me as I only got out like 2 times in the last 30 days) and we had an AWESOME hunt!!!

Great video again Kermit!! To bad your coil went bad on ya, by the looks of those finds in the loose dirt you'll be going back there and carry an exta coil from now on.

Cool finds, guys! Kermit, where is your Ace? With the coins being so shallow, you may have been able to snag some with the Ace. Either way, great finds for a relatively short hunt.

Great hunting with you again, Kermit. It's been a while. Congrat's on the multi silver day and get that coil fixed so we can get back out today.

Went back to the same spot this morning and met up with Lowbatts, Clad, and L4S. A local also stopped by and joined in on the hunt. Great meeting you, Rich.

Don't have time to post pics right now but today was better than yesterday. IH's, V Nickel, Merc, and my oldest and best silver coin to date, an 1847 SEATED HALF DIME!!!!

I'll post pics later, but if ANYONE wants to hit it up tomorrow PM one of us for the coordinates. This place won't last long so get in while you still have the chance!

D-Dub, you have GOT to tell me where you got that shirt.

Girlfriend gave it to me for my birthday along with a coffee mug that says, "Addicted To Metal Detecting". I don't think she realizes how much truth there is to that.

I'll ask her when she gets back in town next week and let you know.

Two days, two killer days for Dan, and one killer first! Awesome seated Dan! The free-range md'er who joined us, Rich, he got that great LC also today! Still gotta toss a coin on tomorrow morning but it's definitely high on my list of spots.

Great site and awesome coins! Way to snag some real good oldies! Congrats on all the great finds, especially the LC and the seated half dime. Two tougher coins to find in Chicago parks

I started laughing out loud when I saw that T-shirt. My sister gave me the exact same one for X-mas but it's green.
