Went back to my favorite park for 2 hours this morning. Hit an area I have been over several times before. Ground under the trees was still moist and easier digging. Went super slow listening for the deep repeatable signals. Got 2 Mercs at the opposite ends of the condition spectrum - a 1923 that is pretty worn and a 1916S that has full bands. Had a brief moment of excitement when I saw the dime was a 1916, flipped it over and it appeared it had a mint mark but within a few seconds of rinsing it off saw it was an S. Also found 7 wheaties.

Wow, great day for you! I love those mercs. It's really cool finding sharp mercs (especially when they are older ones), but, like D-Dub mentioned the other day, there's something about a worn, smooth merc that I love. Maybe it's character, I don't know. But they are fun to find nonetheless. I still gotta get out with you one of these days.

Congrats on the cool finds. :icon_thumright: That '16 must have been in the ground a long time, usually they are so worn from circulation.

Nice Mercs from the park, seems that the popular date this year so far is the 1916.
