    Another Large Cent today 9-28-10

Went back to where I dug a no date Large Cent on Sunday.
    Hit the field about 9:30 - 9:45
First target was a 1929 Wheat.
After about 20 minutes of wondering around I dug a 1941 Merc.
20 minutes later I dug another couple of 1945 wheaties.
I wondered around some more and pulled a 1944 Merc.
Walked across the road to a big tree for a bit but no luck.
Had that I gotta go to the bathroom feeling so I started towards the car.
Got a weird signal, but solid , read 10-38 / 11-39 and looked deep.
Dug down about 10 inches and finally got a signal with the probe.
Scooped out just a bit more and in the clod of dirt I saw the coin.
    Ya baby another L C.....
This one has a date of 1843. This one make #5
I dug 1 more signal that turned out to be a 1929 penny.
Had to go Mother Nature was calling....
    Thanks for looking......

    Real nice large cent Bob!
I don't know if it's as nice as my RR tag, but ...

You're tearing up those large cents with 5 already!
Speaking of trades, how about I give you the practically dateless 1916 buffalo nickel I got yesterday for those 5 large cents. 5 cents is 5 cents right?

I've only found one LC and it was a miracle find being in a pile of excavated dirt in the park.
And it's in rougher shape than your find of today. It's a great rush regardless of the condition.

    Congratz!

Bobby, you beast!!! Livin' large with those largies. For some extra time to detect at your field, I would have pissed on a tree (or shat on a stump) for the chance at some more from that site. Keep us posted on all your other large cents you pull from there, lol.

    Large congrats Bob,
You've got a great spot. So you dug a 10 inch deep hole, why didn't you use that for nature's call and then kept detecting

BTW: This is a really off topic question about treasurenet, but if this is such a 'family friendly' web-site, why do we have this emoticon: (I found it while looking for laughing #11)?

If you go back to our posts from 2008, we used that emoticon all the time in reference to mushroom hunters. Mostly Kermit, it was pretty funny. It'd be like, "Hey all, we're meeting up at the woods, watch out for the backed in cars, unless you like that stuff

    lol

    Good times...
