3 Hours at a "Park in The Hood " gets lots of SILVER

Got up early and went to a park in the Hood for 3 hours today.

I had permission from a security guard last year to detect a park.

This year I went there a couple times and was told I can't do it.

Each time I went there this year it was raining and or about to rain so I was nice and left even after telling her that I had the OK. ( each time I managed to get maybe a hour in)

Today was different. Nobody to hassle me......As a matter of fact I had one of Chicago's Finest stop and talk a bit and every so often would drive by and park for 15 minute ( 4 times in 3 hours ) so I was safe.

Turned out to be a 6 Silver Day 1 being a WLH made into a ring....

31 Quarters
30 dimes
56 Pennies
1 Nickel
1 cheap ring
1 key
20 pieces of JUNK

Looks like it was a great hunt. My detecting partner also found a ring about 4 wks. ago, except his was made from a Seated Liberty dime. Someone had small fingers.

Right at daylight is the time to visit the "hood". The gangsters and wantabes are still hung over from the night before and don't come out until about 10:00. I know that from 22 years as a cop working in those areas. Daylight to 10:00 AM was coffee and donut time! Then all hell usually broke loose. M nty
