Couple of goodies from last two hunts

I had some time Friday morning so Kimsdad & I headed into the woods and hunted
an area that we've had our eye on since last fall. It was on a hillside with lots of
big 'ol trees and lately, similar looking areas like this have been fairly productive
for me so I thought it was worth a try.

My first solid recovery was a '45-P War Nickel at about 4-inches and after
sweeping the hole again, there was a lonely '27 Merc waiting to be rescued.

Other finds of note included a "Martin Varnish CO" watch fob, a small cold-creme
jar and after-the-fact "lucky" horseshoe.





Saturday Morning Kimsdad & I headed to the street tear-ups where we met up
with our gracious host, Lowbatts, Skates, Mayo and Nick and his wife Patti.



My only silver that day was a 1897 Barber Dime about three-feet in front of the
steps of a cool victorian house and a block down the street, a few skulls and a
lead, gas light fixture key.
