    Boutique bling weekend

Saturday got into a multisite run with the Master, Waldemar. Took him through some of the sites I've worked in the past so he'd know where the cleanup spots are out this way.

We started at the recent streetwork site, as the landscapers had left one half of one block with a thin parkway uncovered as yet. Plenty of clad there, I popped a stylish shiny hairpiece from the days of old out from about 6" down right after Master Senior popped a nice rosie in my wake. (That's why he's the boss!)

We played "Call it Before You Maul It" at my nearby old park but were limited to clad and a wheatie or two. He got a buff there.

On to the Eagles Nest where we each hit our first wheatie right off at the same time, then settled in for some exploration. I hit a couple successive pocket spills, multi-nickle type with one '43 war nickle the result. Looks like the woods there are ready for picking.

Sunday met Neil at the old same place and hit two wheaties, 1919 followed by 1918. A pocket spill of quarters spread along a trail, one every couple inches led to a boutique bling heart. Great Danes and professional German Shepards showed up to bark liberally.

Followed that with a solo stint to another park where a couple late wheaties and a lot of deep green mems awaited me. Got a few yard invites there, but none of them will produce much more than can slaw, hot wheels and clad as they just don't have the age. Maybe later.

Great weather, fine weekend for hunting!

Yes, liberal barking was heard by all! Those were some big dawgs!!! I didn't realize that they could live to 9 years old! Rescue dogs, too - bless the owners!

    Nice finds you got there!!!

Funny how you pulled that unrealized war nickel from your pile 'o' clad! You make it look so easy!

God bless our veterans! Thank you for your sacrifices!
