    Cool breezes

Blowing in off the river kept me and Paul working that soft dirt frequently to stay warm. Still trying to get the soupie muck off my lone wheatie but the IH and war nickel came fairly clean. Found a nice tootsie toy truck too, the ground minerals there had stripped the paint. Now I'm looking for it again in the tool pile in the van. Where did I put that thing?

Sure would like a couple more weeks, er, months of mid 50's to 60's weather to hunt in!

Nice goodies Tim. Weather should be good for awhile to play in the river muck.

Just up from the water, past the fishing gear, tackle and beer container remnants. Too close to the river where the banks are shallow and you have 100+ years of flood junk along with the fishing/drinking bits and pieces.

Mucky stuff comes from the nearby springs.

Yep, I was thinking more European too. Didn't know they were reeded. My Frank coppers are not reeded but hey, they're copper.

    Cool IH!

I've often wondered if I saw an old coin on a steep, muddy river bank. . .
Would I brave the cold water, the mud. . . the possibility of being sucked
into the goo over my boots. . . WTH. . . why not!

(just as long as it ain't a Mem!)

    Re: Cool breezes

Rescued that truck from the woods, then had to rescue it from my trash bin, which I had dumped my pouch into. I gotta get better at sorting the goodies. Someone could have a good day going through my trash sometime.

There's just a spot of the red paint left behind the one remaining tire.

It's a "P", Spoon. Sometimes I forget to check the details, too. Kind of like losing the goodies!

Hey John, Lost the roof but kept a lot of the paint!
