A mixed bag for sure
I took advantage of the weather during past few days for a couple of hunts
and it was really nice to be able to swing the coil in over areas that are normally
not accessible during the summer.
The coins were few and far between but those that I did recover, were generally
old. But what did hold my attention were the variety of relics. . . and one of my fav's
was a "float" copper nugget (just under an ounce) found near a creek. A few other
finds include a dropped .50 musket ball, a fired .58 caliber three-ringer, a religious
medal, and a small buckle.

Saturday, I was invited to hunt a new (old) spot with lowbatts, kimsdad, and skates
and everyone was finding a cool variety of things. About 10 minutes of time elapsed
before I found my first IH this year (bent & toasted :P) but I didn't really care.

Other recoveries for the day include an intact harmonica reed, a lead net weight, a
really cool pocket watch with a faintly-engraved locomotive on the back, and a hollow,
rolled piece of copper (possibly a native American decorative bead?).

Thanks for looking!
