see you'll real soon!

Man, your up early. I'm waiting patiently for L4S to get his act together. I've been up for a half hour already! Got my gear in the car and already ate a banana. He just got up and came down wearing one of his wife's sweatshirts. A few sizes too small but it looks good. Girl sweatshirt with navel showing? Pink tub? You might want to revise your last, inside joke statement, Jon! ;D

See you all in a couple of hours. Let's get our hunt and eat on. :headbang:

Hey, just got off work. Gotta finish the brats and beans, the only way to start a road trip.

If you see a highlander with a 1-point 'batts buck strapped to the hood you'll know we're there and Mark wasn't so cotton to a brats and beans breakfast guy like me.

Re: The Official "Field of Fools" Hunt..... Stories and Pictures Page

There will be more pics of the finds as it was late when we arrived for supper Friday and there just wasn't time, but here is a brief rundown of what I remember being found at the hunt site

Mr Senior dug several rings, one really nice silver ring with detailed engraving and a ruby..and atleast one gold ring.... :notworthy:
I believe D-Dub led the group with silver @ 5 found :hello2:
A total somewhere around 17 or so silver coins for the day
There was atleast one other silver ring found I believe Goldinwater found it....
Also found.....IH's,Rossies,Washingtons,Buffalo's,Wheat's and Mercs, there was one Seated Dime I am aware of,Mr Senior (The Master) found it...

That's about all I can remember for now,it was a long day...Everyone had a great time...I enjoyed it Fellas
Tomorrow I think will be even better....

Re: The Official "Field of Fools" Hunt Stories and Pictures Page.....1/2 REALE FOUND

Saturday.....
Well its morning again and about time to get busy with this mornings pre-hunt chores...
Thought I would recap abit on yesterdays site and post a tidbit on where we are headed to this A.M.

Yesterdays site is a virtual ghosttown, the town started back in the 1800's and was quite a thriving community,it consisted of about 10-12 square blocks and at one time inhabited by several hundred residents..
The town was flooded back in the 1990's and almost all the houses were destroyed, only a handfull of residents remain today....The finds there were very good, but not as numerous as we had hoped for,it was still a good day,as any day in the field is,Everyone seemed to have a good time.....

Todays site was once a horse racing track back in the midish 1800's to the early 1900's,it hosted many events with large crowds attending from many communties in the area,it is rumoured that alot of betting and such took place there, and a murder was even discovered to have taken place at the track in 1883
The site is now just a field, and you would not know it had once been a center of activity in years gone by...
We are hoping for some terrific finds here, and am sure if they are present, this group will unearth them...Well folks I must sign off,and will try to post some pics tonight of the hunt and finds, till then I will leave you with some recon pics from yesterdays site...enjoy and Have Fun Out There..
