Darn, Soupie - with all that good food, who needs a detector? I might leave mine at home and just hang around the kitchen all day!

That's great to just be able to harvest some fresh hickory. :)

Sux I cannot make the group hunt but looks and sounds like it will be a blast!!! One of these days I have to go out in the woods and cut some maple branches for my smoker (1st time ever trying it), don't think we have hickory trees up here.

Just an idea - can you send a few hickory branches up with L4S, I'll send him down with a Franklin half for a trade? :icon_pirat:

L4S maybe you should bring a trailer down with you. so you can have room for all the great finds you'll probably have, plus the wood of course.

I promise to at least dig two holes for everyone. You just have to call it, and I'll dig it for you...no strings attached. Just remember TWO holes for the WHOLE trip per person.

Good luck to all you guys this weekend and an extra thumbs up to to Soupie for hosting :icon_thumright:. Very generous of you.
One suggestion for you guys would be to eat after you hunt or else you won't be able to bend down to dig those holes after all that food.

Trying to get into a rhythm here....
Programming my phone to go off every two hours so my cat naps will not get in the way of anyone's digging. Though said catnaps sometimes enhance the hunt....

Trust me. . . if there's a fallen log ANYWHERE in the county,
Tim will find it for some quality nap-time :D And if you wake him,
you will have awakened a sleeping giant :o

I'm going to love this hunt

Re: The Official "Field of Fools" Hunt..... Stories and Pictures Page

Got the tables set up and the chairs ready as well as getting some more provision for the Sat feed today...also cut a load of wood incase we have a fire....Quite an ordeal clearing out the Polebarn....dead batts on the impala SS and front flats on the tractor, not to mention the tractor blocked the driver door so I had to crawl through from the passengers side...not any easy thing :laughing7: oh and the mower batts were dead to :tongue3: I got err done

Also made it out for a late afternoon pre qual round 2 with scrounger d....one wheat surfaced and a couple relics....tomorrow I sense will be much better....grass will be a nice change....

See you all tomorrow...Soup is out :sleepy2: :sleepy2: :sleepy2: :sleepy2:

Washing the equipment. Don't laugh at me! I know my tub is pink. It takes a man to admit that. NO HO*O! (inside joke)
