Three hunts this week and a "tiny" first

After gearing down from Soupie's wonderful hunt. . . and catching up
on all the work that I was behind in during this past week, I hunted a
house a block away that was scheduled for demolition. After contacting
the builder, he said have at it and it was a 1940's to 1950's wheaty-fest
with 3 Rosies, a Merc, and 75-cents of "play" money in the mix.

As the weekend approached, I found myself yearning for older goods so I did
a "warm-up" hunt with Kimsdad at a site we hit with Mayo & Lobatts last fall.
We had all hit that area pretty hard last year but the grass had been flattened
during the winter so it was now a lot easier to hit some of those deeper targets.

    One of the first targets I recovered was a 23-cent pocket spill (2 Merc's & 3 wheats)
and then a few more early wheats to round out the hunt.

When the weekend arrived, Kimsdad & I hooked up with Lobatts, Skates, Winken,
and mayo to locate an old homestead that was platted in 1861. Between the 6 of us,
we started locating broken glass & and square nails and then Skates confirmed the
site with a wonderful 1840's LC. . . and with that recovery, everyone was pumped

After finding several flat buttons, pieces of pewter flatware, and part of a thimble,
I couldn't believe my ears (and eyes) when my detector screams "foil". . . I looked under the
coil and see a small disk on the ground. . . about the size of a dime. . . and when I picked it up,
I saw three, faint roman numerals and after looking at it more closely, I realized I had
    found my FIRST three-center. . . an 1865

    Thanks for looking!
